Home Land – Next Stage Arts February 15 – May 10
My process is about the act of reaching out to make sure I know where I am, to check my coordinates, mark a signpost for my memories, as if to say,“this is where I am now.” My paintings are a tethering to a place and a time, to a mood or disposition, and so in painting I recognize the connection I feel to the land. It is like a rite by which I assure myself that I am looking, that I am aware, that I am grateful, that I am part of this place this Home Land.
